I am a representative of Sri Lankan Team that got selected to come to Poland for Software finals. At the last moment we were informed that VISA was not ready. But then we got visa Microsoft told us it is taking 4 days to get visa from India to Sri Lanka (which is only a 3 hour plane ride). What a joke.
We have been pulling all the strings from yesterday till now to get the passports and visa… it will come in 10.30 flight today… our last chance flight will be at 12. People guarantee us to deliver passport if we can get a letter from travel agent.
But Microsoft Sri Lankan organizers are not taking the risk…. They have been blocking all the way we are opening so that we can get to the final at least tomorrow. Microsoft Sri Lanka is telling us that we could go on Wednesday IF we get selected to international final 6 doing the presentations over video conferencing.…. But we already competed here and won the chance to go to Poland. I ask u is this fair?
We still have the chance only if Microsoft Sri Lanka could get us the letter from travel agent and booked the tickets.
