I just realised that the worldwide judging panel has been published which means I can actually talk about them! :)

What you'll see is a panel of 5 judges from around the world (last year there were only 3), and perhaps more importantly, a mix of industry and academia (last year there was only academia).
While the three academics are important, I wanted to highlight the value we'll see in having the other two judges on board too.
Firstly, David Wildgoose is the editor for Kotaku Australia, whose content is syndicated worldwide on Kotaku sites. This gives us some great exposure in the gaming media - and more importantly, it gives YOU great exposure in the gaming media. David is an experienced games journalist with more than 10 years of experience in reviewing games of all calibres and so is an excellent addition to the panel.
Secondly, Gregg Mayles is an experienced game developer and designer, first seeing public eye way back in 1994 and is now one of Rare's lead designers in the UK. Gregg will be able to lend a unique and crucial viewpoint to the judging process and we are very fortunate to have his involvement in this.
I'm looking forward to working with all five judges in Poland as they determine the best game for 2010.
