    Re: The Finalists

I think we all would like to know the scores of these games (and maybe all of our games, just to know where we are).

There are some really nice games which didn't make it and I can't find an explanation for some of the games which are up there.

    Re: The Finalists

I can't understand why some not so perfect games are on the leaderboard while some other better ones are not. Maybe the preference of our judges matters. For the efforts we made,we really need comments and scores,at least letting us know why by comparison and learn from the failure. But no longer see you next year without any improvement.

    Re: The Finalists

I just saw a post, but it disappeared, saying the EMuS team exists of 9 people, which is true, according to their website: http://www.elmundoensilencio.com/equipo/ (Equipo meaning team of course). Isn't this in violation with the rules and regulations?

I agree with the rest. This is not just a contest, it's a contest from which students can learn alot. I remember seeing this same info somewhere on the site. But how can we learn from it, if we don't get any feedback on what is good about our games, and what is not?

Plus, what is that with the 9-headed team? oO

I came, I saw, they fled.

They are only 4 on ImagineCup, and who can prove that in fact all 9 worked on the game? I don't care how many are in their team, I just want to know why their game has won a place in the finals. IMHO, it has nothing to do with with the MDGs, as MHesham said earlier.

The game has an interesting and original idea, but there are many other interesting games which didn't pass, games which are even connected to the 2010 theme.

The game website ( original / translated ) clearly states they have 9 members, and entered multiple competitions/events with their game. I quote (the translation): "One of the objectives of Emesa was to participate in Microsoft's Imagine Cup".

The equipo/team page clearly says they have 1 producer/1 project manager (maybe you could see those two as mentors, however you can only have 1 mentor). Two designers, three developers and two graphic artists.

The site is centered around one game (El Mundo en Silencio), and nowhere there seems to be an indication they have multiple version for multiple competitions. And it does not sound feasible they've removed all the work of one mentor, designer, developer and graphics artist.

I'm not trying to make them look bad. However, I would like to be beaten by a team with the same limitations as us. If only we had one extra guy, we could've done so much more. It just doesn't seem fair.

    Re: The Finalists

Regulations state clearly that there can be only 4 people in the team. There's clear evidence there were significantly more that that in that team. They don't even hide this info. Violation of rules = disqualification. I'm waiting for the statement from the game captain - if this is acceptable to have more guys in the team we'll have a bunch of indie studios fighting next year to promote their games.
